plastic beach

For this project I started collecting and analysing colors of Japans seaside from September - December 2019 in Kōbe.

Color of seashells, sand, driftwood and water is not too exciting to analyse, so much better was the colorful plastic pollution that comes in different shapes, sizes and gradients.

Ocean plastic changes color through environmental influences such as sun, salt, sand.

Nowadays, ocean plastic is part of every beach scenery - so we can't ignore it. 

​

plastic beach is an educational workshop where we first collect micro plastic from beaches and playfully  learn about this big plastic soup!
